This is easy: Exercise Prevents Falls

One in four Americans fall every year especially in the age group of 65 and older. Falls are considered a geriatric syndrome and are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries in the older adult. The good news is you have the power to change this and even prevent a fall by exercising.

Here are some tips to consider:

  • Talk to your MD and find out what exercise is right for you, especially if you have arthritis.
  • Review your medications
  • Get your vision and hearing checked
  • Improve the safety of your home
  • Check your diet are you getting enough Vitamin D and Calcium
  • Weight management, 
  • Get plenty of rest .....And keep the conversation going.
